We are excited to embark on another exciting adventure to the bottom of the world. And as always we start with bubbles! We look forward to sharing as we go along.
And of course, once we reach Santiago, we must have Pisco Sours. Here’s to Ron!
From Santiago, we boarded a plane to fly south to Puerto Williams, a small island at “Fin Del Mundo” the “End of the world”. Apparently, this is contested by the Argentine town of Ushuaia. Though Puerto Williams is further south, it is smaller with only 2500 inhabitants.
We board our ship, Silver Cloud. We had to make sure the parkas provided fit. So now we are ready to explore the polar region!
The next two days will be traversing the Drake passage. They say there is the Drake Lake, or the Drake Shake. Fingers crossed, but so far it has been calm seas.
