After 4 days at sea, we finally arrived at Walvis Bay, Namibia. Waking early to see the sun rise over the Desert. Who know that Namibia is home to the world’s oldest desert.
Once the ship was docked and cleared, we disembarked, cleared immigration, and headed for a tour of the “Living Desert”. Aside from dunes, where some were at least 30 meters high, there were bushes, snakes, birds, and all sorts of crawly things.
After the tour through the desert, we stopped for some arranged cheese and crackers by the seashore.
We then returned to the ship for a much-needed rest. We stopped in the bar for a cocktail and a simple repast before dinner.
Dinner was at the Gril with Ben and Ann. Then packing for the transfer to Cape Town in the morning.
