Each day here consisted of two drives into the bush, the first started at 7:00AM and returned to the Lodge somewhere around 10:00AM. The second started at 4:00PM and we returned to the Lodge around 7:00PM. With each drive we would search for various animals, sometime going off road following the tracks of Rinos, Leopards or whatever the tracker was able to spot. We would drive around for a couple of hours and then stop for a brief repast, the mornings were coffee and biscuits, the afternoon was wine or G&T with various snacks. We would then pack up and continue the drive.
It was incredible and I don’t mind saying, sometimes, fearful, that the animals would at time seem to approach our vehicle, though never in a threatening way. But when a Lion saunters up not three feet away, or a bull Elephant gives you the eye from just a few meters, I defy anyone to not be a bit apprehensive.
To catch up and to avoid repetitive narrative or pictures, I am going to post representative pictures of the two days and four drives we did here.
what a fantastic adventure, thank you for sharing the stories & the fotos. There is only one word in my mind: amazing!
All I can say is just amazing pictures. Just incredible. Elaine.
