Happy Easter!
Today was a leisurely day. We got up late and had breakfast of juice and coffee and a small sweet roll. We did not want too much, not that we ever have a big breakfast, because we would be having lunch in the wild.
To pass the morning, we took a walk heading toward the mountain pass, though we did not anticipate trekking up the mountain. We met one of the staff also out for a walk with her dogs. While the weather was still sunny but breezy, she looked at the sky and said the clouds looked like they were coming down and we should expect rain. When we reached a fork in the road, she went left and we went to the right to continue our walk, and sure enough it did start to drizzle. It was not too much to make us turn back. Shortly after, the rain stopped, and we caught sight of a rainbow. We continued with the initial intent to cut across the paddock and make our way past the air strip and back to the main gate. But by then it was just about 11 and we knew we needed to be back by 12 to meet our chief in the wild for lunch. So, we just turned around and headed back.
